Details: La Casa Norte’s Public Health Ambassadors youth impact program works to curb health inequities in Chicago. We recognize that homelessness and violence are public health issues that require prevention, intervention, and trauma-informed healing strategies. We engage and empower black and brown youth ages 16-24 to become agents of change in their own communities by addressing issues to reduce homelessness, violence, and health inequalities through advocacy and civic participation. Ambassadors earn a stipend for participating in leadership training and for advocacy work in their neighborhoods.
