Housing

Opened in 2004, Solid Ground was one of Chicago’s first housing programs to serve male-identifying youth experiencing homelessness. Residents ages 18-21 can live at Solid Ground for two years or until their 21st birthday. During this time, they receive on-site support services, including life skills development, vocational training, academic assistance, therapy, and access to health care. This helps to prepare the program’s 16 residents to successfully move on to stable housing.
